The LD90 provides very accurate range to surface data (on a first-return basis) at 100Hz for real-time reference and logging. Our Riegl LD90-3300HR laser altimeter is rigidly mounted within the Nav-Alignment System block in the ECO-Dimona's left hand under-wing pod, where it is co-aligned with the OxTS Rt3003 INS/GNSS system. Specifications General Specifications Range (reflectorless): 500 m Range with reflector: 1000 m Accuracy (typical): +/-50 mm Update rate: 100Hz For more detailed specifications see the LD90-3300HR manual and datasheet Data-Logging Data is logged at 100Hz on the MET system Digital Logging Unit (DLU) and at lower frequency on the Central Services Module's CSM-CR1B datalogger. Real Time Display The Central Services Module's CSM-CR1B datalogger processes the data in real time and generates an on-screen display on the Front Science Panel's HMI via Loggernet RTMC software. This displays current range to surface and also deviation from a pre-set height reference to assist in accurate height monitoring. The same data is output to a small LCD screen visible from both seats. Importantly this system is NOT certified and is NOT for primary navigation. Platform Compatibility The sensor is fully embedded in the ECO-Dimona's EF19B sensor package and not currently available for wider use. Availability We have one LD90 unit.
