Baseline mapping and monitoring for the Unversity's Drumbrae estate

We are collaborating with colleagues in the department of Sustainability and Social Responsibility's Forest and Peatland Project to deliver baseline mapping and future monitoring of the University's new estate at Drumbrae.

We are delighted to be working with our colleagues within the University's department of Sustainability and Social Responsibility at the new estate at Drumbrae, near Stirling.

The estate is to be restored to a natural woodland and landscape as part of the University's commitment to net-zero emissions by 2040. We will be providing an initial baseline survey of the landscape prior to the start of restoration work using our laser-scanning, photogrammetry and multi-spectral sensors, and we hope and intend to return to provide regular surveys to monitor the regeneration process over coming years, as well as supporting any specific research projects  that arise as part of that process.

We've also supported the team with some initial drone photography and videography for use within their communications and networking process.
