Safety Reporting Procedures

All staff, students and collaborating partners are must please report all safety concerns, near misses, incidents and accidents through the reporting system established by our Safety Management System.

Internal Reporting

Information  from safety reports is vital to ensuring that we are able to address potential issues proactively and to respond effectively to any safety concern, near miss,  incident or accident to prevent any related ocurrence in the future.

The processes for reporting are fully laid out in the Safety Management System (SMS) outlined on our Sharepoint site, and fully described within the Safety Manual.

 

Mandatory Occurence Reporting (MOR) and AIRPROX

The Airborne GeoSciences Facility is committed to full compliance with the mandatory occurrence reporting (MOR) and Air Proximiy (AIRPROX) reporting requirements. This includes both manned and unmanned aircraft operations and associated acivities.

 

Univeristy of Edinburgh Health and Safety Reporting

All accidents, incidents, near misses adn instances of susepedted occupational ill health are also to be reported through the University's Accident or Incident Report Form.  Please note that this is separate procedure and must be completed in addition to the facility's internal procedure above, and any applicable MOR or AIRPROX report.
